Dr. Jack Derks grew up in Holland and graduated form Hope College. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and did his internship at Denver General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He served two years in the U.S. Army assigned to Dugway Proving Grounds in Dugway, Utah. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice, and has been associated with Holland Family Medicine since 1971.
Dr. Derks and his wife, Bea, have two children and one granddaughter. His interests include music, American Legion Band, woodworking and gardening.

Dr. Rick Kempf was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Grand Rapids Junior College and went on to receive a bachlor's degree from Michigan State University. He did masters work in microbiology and public health before going on to receive a medical degree from The College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. He completed a three year residency in family practice through the Grand Rapids Area Medical Education Corporation. Dr. Kempf is certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has been associated with Holland Family Medicine P.C. since 1977. and has served as a deputy Ottawa County Medical Examiner since 1977.
Dr. Kempf and his wife, Louise have five children. He enjoys multiple spectator sports especially those involving his own family. He is an avid golfer and enjoys tennis and bowling. He is active in his church and has been involved in short term mission work in Ecuador.

Dr. DeMoss was born and raised a pastor's son in West Michigan. He attended Albion College where he majored in music. He received his medical degree from The College of Osteopathy at Michigan State University. He interned at Garden City Hospital in Detroit and completed his residency at Tucson General Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practioners.
Dr. DeMoss and his wife, Heidi Lynn, have twin boys. When not busy keeping up with the twins, Dr. DeMoss enjoys automobile restoration, model trains and music. He is active in church and mission work, and sings in the church choir.
Kathleen S. Krol was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. She received her nursing diploma from Hackley Hospital School of Nursing; bachlor of science in nursing from Grand Valley State University; and a masters of science degree from Michigan State University. She is a licensed Family Nurse Practioner and joined Holland Family Medicine in 1997. Kathy and her husband, Kevin, have two daughters and enjoy camping, week-end antique shopping and are refurbishing an 80-year-old home in the city of Holland.
Betsy J. Mulder grew up in Hackensack, New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana; and a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University. She is a licensed Adult Nurse Practitioner and joined Holland Family Medicine in September of 1999.
Betsy and her husband have two young children and stay very busy raising their family, enjoying friends and being active in their church. |
