Pediatric Nurse Practitioners

Holland Pediatric Associates, P.C. is committed to providing the best possible care for your child. In our practice we believe that pediatric nurse practitioners are a vital part of the health care team. Pediatric nurse practitioners are Registered Nurses who have advanced education and training to provide well child care, as well as manage common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. The major focus of the pediatric nurse practitioner's practice is well child care, including teaching, growth and development, nutrition, safety and common behavioral issues. When you call to make an appointment for a well child (health maintenance) visit, you will be asked the name of your child's pediatrician. Your appointment may then be scheduled with either the pediatrician or the pediatric nurse practitioner who works closely with him. We encourage our parents, with the help of our staff, to make alternating appointments with the pediatrician and nurse practitioner.
